This official launch symbolizes Taiwan Index Plus Corporation's voyage towards a brilliant future.

Chairman Tseng Ming-Chung of the FSC states that index investing is worth promoting, as it diversifies risks and yields stable profits over the long term. The FSC values and places great emphasis on passive investment. Professional index providers have been established in most major Asian and international markets to effectively manage domestic market indices. In order to more efficiently promote index investing in Taiwan, the FSC supports TWSE’s decision to focus index business within a subsidiary company. TIP is dedicated to satisfying investors' demands for diversified services, stimulating investment growth, creating business opportunities for the financial sector, and injecting momentum into the capital market.

Chairman Sush-Der Lee of TWSE emphasizes that, in line with the strategy of proving more diversified financial products, TWSE has spared no effort in developing new indices and products. Since 2002, it has worked with internationally renowned index providers FTSE, Research Affiliates and S&P Dow Jones in index development. These active partnerships have established a solid foundation upon which Taiwan's index investing may grow. The establishment of TIP will effectively accelerate and diversify index development, and is beneficial towards promoting cross-market product collaborations. In the future, TWSE and TIP will collaborate with foreign stock exchanges, index companies and investment companies in the joint development of indices and products suitable for market needs.

President Chen Shin-Chung of TIP also shared recent domestic and international index investing trends as well as TIP's business plans. President Chen states that, TIP is not only commissioned by TWSE to maintain and promote existing indices, it will continue to develop leveraged and inverse indices, equal-weighted indices and dividend point indices. TIP will utilize its expertise in developing diversified themed indices, smart beta indices, and create custom indices to provide investors with more comprehensive tools and value-added products. Investors will be able to achieve asset allocation through passive investing.

TIP is Taiwan's first professional index and information service provider. It is responsible for index development, maintenance, licensing, and marketing in both domestic and foreign markets. TIP aims to provide investors with high-quality, comprehensive indices and information services, satisfy the growing investor appetite for indexing strategies, and create innovative products for Taiwan's capital market.
