Overview
The TIP Taiwan Environmental Sustainability index (hereinafter referred to as “TIP Environmental Sustainability Index”), which Taiwan Index Plus Corporation (TIP) utilized evaluation results based on the “Taiwan Sustainability Ratings: Environmental Sustainability Module” and designs constituents selection and weighting methodology, measures the performance of Taiwan companies listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx) that meet criteria for managing risks and opportunities of environmental sustainability, taking account both considerations of environmental sustainability performance and returns of long-term investment. The “Taiwan Sustainability Ratings: Environmental Sustainability Module” that annually assess overall performances of companies conducting business activities in areas of environmental sustainability, particularly on Environmental system and governance, Air and Water management, Energy and Climate change, Material and Waste management, Biodiversity, Suppliers and Product life cycle management. It is an ESG evaluation system developed by TIP and Center for Corporate Sustainability from the College of Business at National Taipei University (NTPU).
