Overview
Given the popular investment trends of environmental sustainability and high dividends, the Taiwan Index Plus Corporation (TIP) has developed the "Taiwan Sustainability Ratings" model and the "Taiwan Sustainability Ratings: Environmental Sustainability Module" using publicly available information, such as sustainability reports, annual reports, and government data. The model evaluates listed companies on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx) with regard to their sustainability and eco-friendly practices, selecting companies with higher sustainability ratings. High dividend stocks are then chosen, with constituent weights determined by dividend yield to form the TIP Customized Environmental Sustainability Dividend+ Index (TIP ESDP Index). This index showcases the performance of a stock portfolio that combines environmental sustainability with high dividend returns.
